Have you cut the hole too big? Need to replace large old fashion mains downlights? The quick and easy solution is to use one of the retrofit converter downlights. This mains (GU10) conversion kit contains a recessed downlight with an oversize bezel (150mm) suitable for easy covering a 70-140mm diameter hole.
Remove your old fitting from the ceiling and disconnect the mains supply. Connect the lamp terminal and push up into the ceiling void. Job done. No plastering and no fuss.
Available in three finishes choose white, polished chrome or brushed nickel.

Can you confirm this is connected directly to mains 240v and no transformer is required?

I have some old halogen low voltage lights i want to replace. The Transformers have been replaced two-three times and the holes in the plaster board ceiling have broken in places. I am guessing these would do the job but want else do I need to convert the old stuff to LED?

I have old halogen fittings. Cut out hole 101.6mm, would this work for a replacement it goes onto a Lutron light controller and this is dimmable.
