Industrial Design Lighting
This series of lighting combines metal, minimal styling and robustness in stark forms to create industrial themed lights. Industrial design is very much about rugged textures and the use of concrete, wood or metal to create an almost utilitarian space - one which is functional and serviceable yet stylish and starkly sleek. Think factory lights but with more appeal, robust, functional but stylish also. Great for areas which have lots of use so kitchens will benefit from this type of utilitarian style lighting which is easy to clean and will take any knocks or cooking splats. A double height warehouse type space would also benefit from this style of lighting complementing bare bricks, exposed rafters and concrete or wooden flooring.
Modern Industrial Interior Design
The palette colour of an industrial interior design space is neutral with added shades of black, grey, brown to represent and mirror an industrial space. The style leans towards large black framed windows in a grid pattern with lots of light and big open spaces - think double height atriums.
Architectural features will feature heavily - exposed brickwork, beams, concrete detailing, wooden flooring and more. Heavy wooden furniture in the form of coffee tables on castors, dining tables or concrete worktops - all industrial, heavy duty and typical of the style. Of course if you want it to be less stark and comfortable to live in then choose leather and soft accessories to add warmth.
To this end, bare light bulbs, copper piping with decorative bulbs, caged metal domes are all styles of lighting which will fit this design scheme.
