An effective way of illuminating artwork on the wall. Unlike tilt and frame downlights the lamp enclosure (or head) pulls out of the ceiling plate which allows for more adjustment at the higher angles. This is ideal if you need to illuminate a wall at higher level i.e. the top of your artwork. While tilt downlights can be used to wash a wall with light (when fitted close to the subject wall) illuminating artwork from above will often result in shadows and can ruin the effect of textured paint surfaces. Choose these downlights for your kitchen area if you have artwork, tiling or a certain feature you wish to illuminate.
