RGB + White LED Strip Lights – Colour Changing Tape with Dedicated White Channel
RGB-W LED strip lights add an extra white channel alongside the multi-colour RGB chip, giving you the flexibility of millions of colours plus a true white output when you need it. The dedicated white chip avoids the bluish tint that results from mixing RGB, so you get a clean, reliable white for everyday lighting as well as vibrant colour for mood and effect.
Ideal for living rooms, kitchens, media walls, bars, and displays, RGB-W tape provides the best of both worlds. Choose warm white for cosy evenings or cool white for task lighting, then switch seamlessly to bold colours when you want atmosphere. With matched controllers, constant-voltage drivers, and aluminium profiles, installation is straightforward and professional results are easy to achieve.
Our UK-based guidance and tested kits help you avoid poor-quality imports and select components that balance value with performance. Create spaces that are both practical and exciting with RGB-W LED strip lights.

How to choose and install RGB-W LED tape lights
RGB-W tape features four colour channels (red, green, blue, and white) plus a shared positive, typically requiring five-core cable. Check that your chosen controller supports RGB-W rather than just RGB, as the extra channel needs dedicated output.
For daily lighting use, the white channel provides consistent colour temperature and better efficiency than blending RGB. For feature lighting, the coloured channels deliver fades, flashes, or static effects.
Select a driver that exceeds the total wattage of your run, leaving a margin for reliable operation. On longer lengths, feed from both ends or split into sections to avoid voltage drop. Use aluminium profiles with diffusers for neat finishes, improved heat dissipation, and smoother blending.
RGB-W is a strong choice when you want a single system that works equally well for functional white light and decorative colour effects.
