Ceiling Mounted Exterior Downlights
These high quality recessed and surface mounted downlights are IP sealed with a high ingress protection for external use. The recessed and surface mounted versions are often used in canopies and soffits outside the entrance to commercial buildings. Most are designed to use discharge of fluorescent lamps but one or two have GU10 or E27 lampholder and we would advise the use of LED or CFL lamps to suit the long extended working hours.

Commercial spaces need to be illuminated to a certain level. Illuminance on the floor outside an entrance should be in the region of 25 lux. Busier entrance spaces with high foot fall and steps to negotiate should be illuminated to a higher level.
