LED Drivers for 24V LED Tape – Constant Voltage Power Supplies
Every LED tape installation needs the right driver. Our range of constant voltage 24V LED drivers is selected to ensure stable, flicker-free performance for both white and colour-changing strips. Choosing the right driver is about more than wattage — it’s also about how you want to dim and control your lighting.
We supply two main types of drivers:
Dimmable drivers connect to standard rotary wall dimmers on the mains (primary) side, making them ideal when you want simple, familiar control of single-colour LED tape. Turn the knob on your standard UK wall dimmer and the lighting dims.
Non-dimmable drivers are the correct choice when you plan to use dedicated LED controllers. These controllers work on the secondary (low-voltage) side, unlocking colour-changing functions such as CCT, RGB, and RGB-W, all with smooth dimming too.
By pairing the right driver with your LED tape and controller, you’ll avoid flicker, premature failure, and compatibility issues. Our UK team can guide you to the best option for your project.

How to choose the right 24V LED driver for tape lighting
1. Match voltage: All of our LED tape drivers listed here are 24V constant voltage, which must match the tape’s specification.
2. Calculate load: Add up the wattage of your chosen tape by the run length. The driver must be rated to meet or exceed this figure (It’s often sensible to allow some extra capacity, but it's not essential).
3. Decide how to dim:
-
Dimmable drivers (primary side): work with leading or trailing-edge rotary dimmers for single-colour tape.
-
Non-dimmable drivers: designed for use with LED controllers (RGB, RGB-W, CCT). These give secondary-side dimming and full colour control.
4. Plan your wiring: Longer runs may need more than one driver or feeds at both ends to avoid voltage drop.
5. Choose quality: Using a reliable, branded driver ensures stable performance, longer lifespan, and protection against over-current and overheating.
