Wall lights are often overlooked in a housing scheme but wall lights, whatever the style, can make a huge difference to a lighting scheme. The wall lights will add ambience and can be dimmed to create a good lighting effect. Many new houses do not have the cables for wall lights but this can be done relatively easy if you do not mind a little mess and have some patience and money to spend.
Swing arm, or extending wall lights are excellent for installation next to the bed. Think about the hotels you have visited which have had bedside wall lights, often traditional, which have aided bedtime reading or provided soft wall lighting rather than overhead glare.
