When you purchase a property that has older downlights, damaged or no longer available downlights you most likely do not want to re-plaster a ceiling just to be shot of those old downlights! If you have old fashioned recessed spots or mains recessed eyeball lights with mains reflector lamps you may want to consider using these retrofit downlights. If you like the soft light you get with old style reflector lamps just swap your old lights for brand new R50, R63 or R80 fixtures in white, polished chrome or polished brass.
