Although this fitting requires a remote control for use, if it is fitted as part of your mains wall light switched circuit it will resume from its last known state when switched on.

The receiver is built into the lamp, Unlike older IR RGB lamps where you would need to hold the remote close to the lamp. This Elite lamp uses RF (radio frequency) with a multi-directional remote, this means the remote would change the colours easily anywhere in the room. We've tested this, we managed to keep changing the colours in a different room.

Each lamp can be paired to one of eight lighting channels. This allows individually switched scenes within a room can be controlled by one remote.

The kit consists of a colour change lamp, Downlight with a GU10 lamp holder. You are only going to need one remote control so just order one kit complete with remote as below, and then as many additional kits as you require without the remote. Simples.

To Sync (link) - Turn the lamps on and triple(3) press the zone button you wish the lamp(s) to be assigned to, to unlink press the zone button five(5) times.

We also list the downlight individually. This allows you to install a normal white LED or halogen lamp and have them match the style of your colour changing fittings.

Quick Sync Guide:

Sync a zone - power on at the mains, press the corresponding zone button 5 times in quick succession.
Unsync a zone - power on at the mains, press the corresponding zone button 10 times in quick succession.
Control all zones - hit the M (master) button.

Hello. Is this fire rated suitable for use within a domestic bathroom?
This fitting is not fire rated however it is suitable for a domestic bathroom

Are these lights compatible with dimmable Smart switches? For example Lightwave, or do they only work with on/off wall switches?
This fixture is controlled with the remote control and has to be wired with an on/off wall switch only. So unfortunately no, it will not work with a Smart switch.

What accreditations do these have? e.g. I.E.E. wiring regulations, CE accredited?
These will be CE or CE-UK marked and come with full instructions. They meet and exceed any requirements set down IEC 60598-2-1, IEC 60598-2-2, and are certified by the manufacturers' own IECEE CB Scheme. As for wiring regulations that's for the installer who should work to BS 7671 and the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

Are these rated for external use?
These are suitable for outdoor use. IP65 rating gives it protection against jets of water.

My soffit is 6 meters high. Will the light shine all the way down to the ground?
Yes - the bulb supplied would be sufficient.

Can you have different colours in different zones? E.g 2 lights white and 2 lights blue (or whatever)
Each lamp has an integral receiver. You can assign a lamp to a group and set the colour of that group. You can operate up to eight groups, so short answer, yes, you can.
