Kepler or Portal Round Infinity Pendant by Innermost

The Kepler (or as it is now known Portal) is an LED round infinity style pendant designed by Cohda for Innermost.

So-called after the German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer who discovered the Supernova (Johannes Kepler), this luminaire is reminiscent of black holes and portals from science-fiction. Its unusual designer lighting at its best. Highly innovative materials have been used for this design, multiplying single LEDs over a large thin surface to widely refract the light and give the illusion of infinity. The fine material, which has been likened to hosiery from the fashion industry, creates a fascinating effect, like a kaleidoscope of light rays.

The unit is adjustable at installation with 350 degrees of movement around the X axis and 360 on the Y, meaning any position is possible. The unit can then be locked into place to maintain the configuration and position.

A unique and intriguing as a stand-alone piece however grouping the transparent units in multiples creates a dazzling effect. This creates an opportunity to have huge and impressive light installations using very compact and lightweight units.

Fitted with a 4 metre PVC cable (adjustable at installation).

The black ceiling rose measures 150mm x 60mm, the maximum thickness at the ball joint is 30mm. The material is a fine micro-weave fabric, steel and polycarbonate.
