What is the overall depth of the fitting please?
The depth of the fitting is 65mm. This excludes the flex which comes in from a gland in the base. You should allow 90-100mm

I'm looking for some lights to go in some steps ( going in railway sleepers) and wondered about the driver for these if it's an external one or integrated to the fitting itself. Ideally, I would like to have an external driver/transformer that would do 1 light or multiple lights off one driver if possible?
This particular light fixture has an integral LED driver, which means only a mains connection is required. If you choose a fixture that has an external driver, waterproof drivers are available, but often the best solution is to use a waterproof enclosure.
