Design and Style
This recessed ground light is rectangular in design with an aluminium casing and a 310 grade stainless steel bezel featuring a bevelled edge. A polar array of fixed-position LED chips forms the light source, while integrated shutters between the bezel and the glass allow precise control of the beam. The result can be a sharply defined edge when narrowed to 5°, a broad 120° spread when fully opened, or even an asymmetric distribution by sliding a single shutter to one side.

Usage
This fitting is intended for outdoor use in architectural and landscape projects including facades, entrances, pathways, trees, and feature lighting. The adjustable shutter system makes it particularly useful at commissioning stage, giving installers the flexibility to refine beam shape and width on site rather than relying solely on pre-design calculations.

Installation
To maintain IP65 protection, the light must not be installed directly into soil or areas prone to waterlogging. It should be set into free-draining material, with a minimum of 300mm beneath the fitting to allow water to disperse. This ensures reliable operation and preserves long-term performance.

Do you deliver to Switzerland ? How high can the beam reach? I have a two floor house?
Yes, we do ship to Switzerland. Prices vary on quantity required, please contact sales@lightingstyles.co.uk. Beam height is always a tricky one for a two storey house. If you have ambient lighting around (street lamps) I would suggest the 12w. If no ambient lighting, I would suggest the 9w. But this is still very much personal choice regards how bright you want it to be. I suggest a sample is purchased and tried first.

How wide is the beam if the shutter is fully opened please. I am trying to calculate how many lights I would need for the front of my house.
Fully open the beam angle is just over 90°.

Are the bulbs replaceable?
The chip is not replaceable by the consumer. Design life is 20,000 hours - 14 years if used for 4 hour per night all year round.

I am considering the 9 watt version to wash a sculpture that measures 2m accross and 1m high of a leaping figure. Is this wattage the correct choice?
Lighting designer’s tip: buy what you think is the correct light fixture. Wire this light fixture with a lead and 3-pin plug. Move the position of the light and adjust angle to get these perfect. Then make the installation permanent with a hard wired connection. If you need a different light output we will take it in return if you look after both the light fixture and packaging.

Can these be simply buried in a flower bed or do they need to be concreted in/installed in some kind of box?
You do not need to put these in concrete, they can be buried in earth but packing around them with ballast (large gravel) will help them stay in place and assist drainage too.

Can this fitting be recessed into decking boards?
Yes, it can.

Is the lamp replaceable or integrated? What weight are these rated for? none, walk over, drive over?
These have an integrated LED lamp inside. These are not designed to be walked or driven over.

Can you change the bulb on this product as I wish for cool white or day light?
Unfortunately, this fitting is manufactured with a 3000k colour temperature lamp as standard and cannot be altered. Please call our sales department who may be able to help you find an alternative fitting.
