Will your system work in Japan, where the electric outlet is 100V? Also do you ship overseas?
These round surface mounted transformers are designed for 220-240 volts. An electronic transformer that operates at 110v could be a used but these are often not decorative so would require a decorative enclosure or be located somewhere out of eyesight. We do ship overseas, prices are calculated on weight and volumetric weight.

Is it possible to get a wire that will span up to 6 metres?
Yes. In the box is one reel of 10 metres (enough to do a 5 metre run). All you need is to buy some additional cable. You need the 4mm version, the Product Reference of this is 1761. Put the number in the search box or follow this link.

Can the transformer be wired with a plug for connection to wall socket and not into the lighting circuit?
Yes, this is possible to do. An electrician can perform this.

Is the wire 2 x 5 metre lengths? And where does the transformer go does it need to he on the ceiling or can it be on the wall?
The wire is in a single length 10 metres long and the transformer can be position wherever it suits your design, wall or ceiling, end or middle. We also supply wire by the metre if you need extra.

Are these lights operated via a remote radio controlled switch.
These lights are controlled by your mains wall switch.
