In commercial properties localised switching in bathrooms and toilets can be automated saving energy, reducing risk of electrocution and avoiding the emergency call button being used instead of the light pull.
Light levels can be adjusted to ensure operations at night time only or overridden for use during daylight conditions.
This has a 2000w resistive load (mains incandescent) and 1000w inductive load (Including LED & fluorescent).
The construction is an ABS casing with cable entry and fixing to suit existing pull-cord locations including BESA boxes or remove the outer housing and recess into plasterboard or suspended ceiling tile.
Has a 4 metre detection radius at 2.4 metre ceiling height 360º detection zone. Detection range 360° (degrees).

I`d like to replace the pull chord in my bathroom with one of these, does the connection require a neutral conductor? |
I am looking for sensor to operate inside a shower cubicle so needs to have a narrow operating range so that it only senses when someone gets in to shower not when wakling past. Also with glass door between person and sensor will that inhibit sensor operation of your standard unit ie will no sense through glass?

My bathroom lights are switched from a normal rocker switch outside the bathroom. If I had this PIR installed would I still be able to use the switch outside the bathroom as a manual overide or would I need to disconnect the rocker switch? |
