A brass nautical-themed glass wall light in a pill shape. Diffused with a thick prismatic glass shade, textured inside and smooth outer, this casts a beautiful patterned light for a brilliant ambience.

While perfect for outdoor (IP54 rated) these also fit admirably in themed bars and restaurants, the glow of a filament lamp diffused to create warm pockets of light over tables and walkways. Heavyweight solid brass construction ensures these lights last for years and years. Just do not drop it, it will break your foot!

These look great mounted on bare wood and brick or even used on whitewashed walls providing great contrast.

Four big brass butterfly bolts secure the cover, these can be undone by hand for easy lamp changing. A compression gland is located on the end. If you wish you can drill a hole in the rear housing. Just be sure to protect and seal any cables to maintain the IP integrity.

All versions are solid brass
Antique and verdigris finishes are achieved by a chemical process to create a natural oxidised brass or verdigris green, that would take years to replicate naturally.
The painted versions are polyester powder coated paint.
The natural version is unlacquered and will oxidise slowly.

Designed for use with E27 base mains lamps. Use LED lamps for long lamp life and low running costs.

Thanks for the reply. Does the fix above comply with the light fittings IP54 status as it will be installed in an external coastal location?
IPx4 =- water splashes from any direction. This is easily replicated using a grommet in the rear of the housing. For long trouble-free life ensure the installing electrician uses a good quality silicon or EBT sealant to exclude the possibility of water ingress where the cable/flex comes through the grommet.

Do they sit flush to the wall or are they away from the wall and if so by how much?
The backing plate has 4 stubs which means it is 3-4mm off the surface. Overall fitting is 110mm in projection when installed.

Can this light be used in a bathroom?
Yes this light can be used in zone 2 or 3 of a bathroom.

Do these brass outdoor wall lights (lozenge Marine for example) come with PIR sensors?
No sensor is fitted but you can use a remote external sensor to switch the light or use a smart lamp with a PIR Built-in.

Will this withstand coastal corrosion - and does it fix solidly to the wall?
Yes this fitting is suitable to be used in a coastal location. This fitting has 4 stubs on the rear that lift it off the wall by 3-4 mm.

Can this light be fitted vertical as well as horizontally?
Yes, This can be installed both ways.

Do these lights come with a trailing lead and plug? Or hard-wire only?
This is to be hard-wired into your mains. You can bring a flex in through the compression gland on the end.
