Design and Style
This pill-shaped wall light draws on traditional nautical fittings, combining robust construction with timeless design. A thick prismatic glass diffuser, ribbed internally and smooth on the outside, softens and spreads the light to create a distinctive patterned glow. Available in a choice of finishes, the body and cage are solid brass throughout. Finishes include polished brass, nickel-plated brass, and chemically aged variants such as antique brass and verdigris green. The natural brass version is unlacquered and will gradually oxidise over time. Painted versions use polyester powder coating.

Usage
While designed for outdoor use, this light is equally suited to indoor environments where a characterful fitting is needed. It has been used in bars, restaurants, and hospitality projects to provide atmospheric pools of warm light over tables and walkways. Outdoors, it is often installed on bare timber, brickwork, or whitewashed walls where the metal finish stands out against the surface. The IP54 rating makes it ideal for use in entranceways, garden buildings, porches, and coastal properties.

Key Features
The housing is made entirely from solid brass, including the protective cage, which is held in place by four butterfly bolts that can be undone by hand for easy lamp access. Designed for use with standard mains E27 lamps, the fitting is surface mounted and supplied with a compression gland located at one end. If rear cable entry is preferred, the rear can be drilled and the compression gland removed, using the supplied blanking plate to maintain IP integrity. An adaptor is available to allow 20mm conduit to terminate directly at the body. Weatherproof gaskets provide IP54 protection, making this fitting suitable for outdoor use in all conditions.
