Does the comment "on standard dimmer" means we can dim the lights on the switch, not on the light?
Yes, if you have a wall dimmer switch this light fixture can be used on that dimmer module.

Please could you confirm the maximum wattage bulbs permitted for use in this light? Also, if we order Twin fittings are we able to just leave one side without a bulb?
The maximum wattage is 35 watts. You can leave one side with no-bulb if you wish.

Can this be used inside the house - is that OK?
This can be used in or outside.

How UK weather proof is this light? Iwant to fix it to our garden wall. Could it withstand a week of rain?
Ultimately the tests for ingress protection only require items to protect against water for a short period. However when installed this protection is challenged by wet and freezing conditions and driven rain. So if fitted appropriately this will perform well against the UK weather? Yes. To do so; ensure where the flex comes into the fixtures is sealed with the supplied gasket and the gasket is installed correctly. On brick, blockwork or stone you will find it beneficial to put a bead of silicon around the cable entry. Once the baseplate is on the wall sealing around this and the wall affords more protection. You should also cover screws with silicon and ensure there is no other gaps or holes.

Does the fitting online allow space for a standard size GU10?
This fitting requires a GU10 base mains lamp. A halogen or LED lamp with a GU10 base can be used in this fitting.

Can the single wall light be fixed ````upside down```` as an uplighter rather than a downlighter?
Unfortunately not, this fitting is only designed to be mounted as a downlight, mounting upwards could compromise the waterproofing.

How easy is it to fit the unit and change the light bulbs.
Its very easy to change the bulbs in these, just unscrew the top and bottom screws, pull out the lamp holders, replace the lamps, put lamp holders back in and screw back together.

Could this fitting be used to light the ground under an entrance canopy, edge mounted. It would be mounted 2.7m above the ground
This fixtures has an IP rating of 44. It is splash proof and can be located on any external wall with or without the protection of a canopy.

Can the single down lighter be put on a wall close to the ceiling? ie does it have to be so many mm from the ceiling ,for cooling etc
The single lamp version can be mounted as close to the ceiling as required. There are no ventilation requirements.

can you tell me if the bulbs for this lamp are waterproof? it will be used for an exterior front door.
The fitting has a IP rating of 44, so it offers protection from splashed water and therefore is perfect for use near a exterior front door.
