Stand-alone passive infra-red sensor for indoor or outdoor use with a vertically adjustable head.

The detector will switch on the connected lights when it registers 'warm movement' within it's detecting range of 10 metres, and if dark enough.

The built in sensor prevents the detector from working in the daytime. Illumination time and daylight setting is adjustable to suit various locations. Adjust the lux level and the time from 8 secs to 15 mins to suit your requirements.

Maximum lighting load 1200w (incandescent) or 300w (LED and fluorescent).

Can this be used with LED bulbs, I have a 100W security light I need a sensor for?
Yes, This will work with LED loads up to 300w.

Can this detector be soffit-mounted?
Yes, this can be mounted onto a soffit.

When fitted on a wall outside can you adjust it to point downwards and horizontal as I want one to detect movement in garden and one to detect movement on path below it
The PIR can tilt but can`t rotate, so for a wall mounted unit the one pointed downwards will need to be permanently mounted pointing down.

Can you reduce the sensing range to prevent nuisance switching?
Sadly no. But of course you can tilt it down or away from the source of such nuisance.

Hi does this PIR have an overide setting so i can have lights permanently on if needed ?
If you wish the lights to stay on for a longer period ( e.g: If you are expecting visitors) simply turn unit off then on again within 1 second. Can you tell me how the PIR is wired up, please? I`m trying to replace an existing sensor, but there is only one three-core wire available rather than a power-in cable and a device-out cable.

Do you have a PIR detector which wil permit parallel switching?
The PIR sensors on this site are basic single switching sensor and are low in price. We do have a full range of more complex and flexible switching sensors available for commercial use. Please contact us for details.

Please advise dimensions of the MLPIR180K. I intend to fit out side under a light fitting.
