What do we mean by "with terminals"? Well this transformer does not have primary or secondary flex ready fitted. On some installations this can be quicker and easier. Mains leads go straight to the transformer and leads to the low voltage lampholder or fixture wire directly on the same side.

Maximum size wire is 2.5mm - there are four terminals on the secondary side making it easier to connect more than one fixture. Easily fits through hole made for any recessed downlight but has fixing lugs so it can be fixed in place if required.

I have 240v mains transformer with a 12v output which has just recked by water from a burst pipe The 12v output fed two tension wires feeding 4 lamps What replacement transformer do you recommend?
It`s the load that determines the size (capacity) of your transformer. If the four lamps are 50 watts each you have a 200w load and need a 200va transformer. If the lamps at only 20 watts then a 100va transformer will be large enough. Check the lamp wattage and then pick the most suitable transformer from here.
