Modern Design Surface Mounted LED Light - Ideal To Replace Fluorescent

I currently have a 6ft fluorescent tube in my kitchen. I can't stand it. The light that comes off it is horrible and harsh. It reminds me of the lighting in a 1970's council office block!! Do these have a bit more pleasant lighting? Alternatively, I have been looking at your 6 led ceiling bar spotlights. Would those be a better/more modern looking replacement for a fluorescent tube. Any advice/opinion would be gratefully received.
Linear LED products like this are a replacement for old fluorescent fixtures and they give a diffused light similar to fluorescent lamps, and if you choose a warm white version it might be better for the space than cool or daylight white tubes. That said perhaps you would ideally like something that lights the space in a different way? We would like to help you find something that works for both you and the space, so we will contact you via email and establish what you have at present i.e. what wattage, and colour temperature, size of the room and ceiling height etc so we can suggest a number of different solutions. Unfortunately this fitting is not available in an emergency option.

Can a dimmer switch be used with this light?
The control gear used in this fixture is not dimmable. Sorry
