Straight to Mains Surface-Mounted LED Guide Light - Round or Square

Just wondering how the lights are installed. It states that the lights ‘do not need to be recessed’ in the first paragraph of the description, could you please tell me how the lights would be installed into a drywall/plasterboard wall?
These lights are surfaced mounted so would be screwed on the plasterboard surface.

If they are not a direct fit, you could buy a 1-gang blanking plate for your back box, bring your wires through this in a grommet and fix our light to the blanking plate. An electrician would be able to advise you.

What depth of recess is required for the small square unit please ?
There is no recess required for these fittings as they are surface mounted.

I have a steel wired armour loop, is the back suitable to go in and out for connection? (I am replacing 4 existing step lights)
There is no provision (nor space) for SWA wiring in these fixtures. There is a single cable entry with rubber Gromit. we would recommend using an IP rated junction box or connector suitable to your chosen location.

If i place this light on a an outdoor wall, 3foot from ground level will i get much downlight, i was thinking of putting 4 or 5 on my wall patio area.
We have seen these lights used 3 feet from the floor and much lower (in the risers of steps). It all depends is one answer, but the best and most effective professional advice to suggest you buy one or two, wire them up with a length of flex and put a 3-pin plug on the end. Then you can see exactly what you get at your desired height and spacing.

Hello, please can you tell me the depth in the wall that's needed for these lights (2watt 105mm Square). I have 25mm deep back boxes and I want to find some low-level lights that will fit into the backbox or mount over them.
There is no depth required for these lights they are surface mounted and would cover your 25mm holes with ease.

How far do these lights protrude from the wall, i.e. what is their depth/thickness?
The depth is 28mm.

Can this be connected to a photocell and wired to a switch controlled mains socket?
Yes this fitting will work with a photocell. You would need to wire the fittings and the photocell into the same lighting circuit.

Can you change the bulbs in these when they fail or do you have to replace the whole unit
This LED light fixture would require repair or replacement of the LED by ourselves in the event of a failure. That said it does benefit from an expected life of 30,000 hours and a three year warranty.

How far does this need to go into the wall?
This is surface mounted, No cut out is required.

Hi, Does the Led driver fit within the light casing to allow a flush fit to the wall without having to cut out additional space behind the light to fit driver etc. ? Thanks
The LED driver is integral to the fitting. The fitting sits flush to the wall and is surface mounted.
