Smart, intelligent or clever? This dimmer module may be all three. This single module can be programmed from the front, you do not need to open up the switch box to adjust minimum brightness - it can be programmed by the knob. 

This dimmer also offers leading edge and trailing edge dimmer functions that can also be programmed from the front via the knob.
