Is this wall light suitable as a reading light behind a bed, ie does it move left to right as well as up and down? If so, does it then stay in place?
Yes, it rotates left and right and it stays in place.

Where does the flex come out of the back plate? It’s not shown in any of your photos
The flex comes out at the edge of the wall plate. So it can drop straight down, but as the head rotates it can come out at the top or side. Some remove the flex and wire wire directly into the wall plate.

How big is the plug?
This has a normal everyday sized 3 pin plug connected.

Can this fitting be wired as a normal wall light?
Yes, the trailing lead can be snipped off and then the fitting hard wired in.

Can you convert the on/off switch to the lead?
Unfortunately we do not think this would be possible. There is a switch on the fitting, but not on the lead.

This lamp is in the "Bedside Lights - Plug In" section, I just wanted to check if it had a UK standard 3 pin plug.
Yes this light comes with a standard 3 pin plug.

How should this be fitted to the wall. Permanent fixings or a simple hook
Screws should be used to fix the wall light onto the wall or furniture.

What colour is the cord on the white model?
It`s a white flex on the white fixture.

Does this light rotate as well as move up and down?
Yes, This light rotates as well as being able to move up and down.

Is this light dimmable, is the cord provided.
No this light is not dimmable. The trailing power lead is provided.

do you have a projection dimension please.
the projection of this fitting is 280mm.

will this light take a 5w LED GU10 lamp?
The light comes complete with a 3w LED GU10 lamp. It can take up to a 6w, so you could use a 5w LED lamp. The lamps have been updated for this fitting.
