This stylish, skinny framed, wall shelf is bound to appeal to those who like the edgy Mackintosh and Crittall styling used in modern architecture.

Backlit, with upwards and downwards lighting, which is great for adding light to a wall or to highlight key features. Glare-free lighting as only the front component contains a strip of diffused LEDs which illuminates only the glass and the objects on top.

The skinny design means that the control gear (LED driver) needs to be located remotely which should not be too hard in most kitchens and in bathrooms. Use the roof void or the top of wall cabinets to hide the driver.

With the driver located remotely (outside of zone 2), the shelf may be used in bathroom zone 1 (24v SELV IP44).

The maximum weight load is 10kg. A good fixing into a solid wall will allow lots of things to be put on display or stored.

Is the shelf in your Backlit glass shelf (with metal edging) hard wired in. I can't see a flex so presume so. But the Driver can be located away from the shelf, and even in a different room?
Yes this shelf operates on a DC supply from a driver. The supply comes in through the rear of the shelf (through your wall). The driver can be installed wherever it suits your installation but it needs a mains supply and could be wired to a 3-pin plug if needed.

I want to buy one 900mm and one 600mm and I can't figure out what type of remote driver I need. Can you help me understand the differences between the options?
From your description you would require 1x 6 watt driver and 1x 15 watt driver, but if they are in the same location you could operate both shelves on a single 15 watt driver.

Do you need a separate driver or is it just wired directly to the mains?
This just needs a mains supply, the driver is built into the structure of the shelf.
