On the website it shows a range of bulb for instance this one Pro HD G9 4000k LED 3.6w High Lumens Dimmable Lamp 430 Lumens - MLG9LED17. Is it bright enough for a room and can the lamp used the dimmable setting or not. And then can this type of bulb be used: Philips Hue White A60 Smart LED Light Bulb [E27 Edison Screw]
The lamp used is in the light is a small capsule lamp with a G9 base. This light is really designed for use when reading in a chair, or by the side of a sofa to boost the light in the room for tasks. It is not a light many would use to light a room. The light does not have a dimmer, if you have a 5-amp lighting circuit and a dimmer on that circuit you can use a dimmable lamp and reduce the light intensity. The Philips Hue lamp quoted has an Edison screw base. It will not fit. There are some G9 lamps that are smart and dimmable by an app but most wouldn’t tend to bother.

What is the height of the lamp up to the adjustable arm?
The height is 1395mm which is the point to the top of the adjustable arm (so that's the very highest it will stand). The length/width of the adjustable arm is 335mm. The ball shade is 100mm.

Please can you tell me whether the top arm moves side to side or just upwards?
Yes. This can be moved side to side as well as up and down.
