This cylindrical exterior grey wall light has an open top and bottom and contains a single mains halogen lamp. The top has a laser cut profile to create a narrow fan effect on the upward light.

This fitting creates a pleasing light effect without optics and lenses and the lack of complex equipment is reflected in the price.

Can be used with any G9 lamp up to 25W, suitable for use with LED and energy saving lamps.

I want to know how big is the backplate that goes to the wall, I need to know because I have a box on the wall with the electric wires. I need at least 7.5 centimetres in a circle.
The backplate has a diameter of 70mm and projects 40mm.

Is this suitable for use on external walls which are subjected to rain and sun?
The fitting has an IP (ingress protection) rating of 44. Meaning it can be subject to splashes of water from any direction. Falling rain, even with driving wind is only IPx3 so yes it`s perfect for your needs.
