Bathroom Opal Drop Pendant H 235mm
IP44 Splashproof Safe for Zones 2 & 3
Product Ref: 3518£105.47 inc VAT
Drop pendants, also called semi-flush fittings, are good in the bathroom. Why? Well by moving the light source down from the ceiling it allows light to travel in all directions including upwards. By allowing light up, and sideways, the ceiling and walls are brighter which makes our brain interpret the whole space as being light and airy. It produces less shadows than a direct light source.
This ceiling fixture has a duplex glass diffuser with an acid etched surface.
Inside is a simple Edison screw lampholder allowing you to use incandescent bulbs up to 60w or energy saving lamps up to 20w.
IP44 rated so protection from splashed water.

What are the dimensions?
Can this light be used with a pull cord?
How does one change the light bulb in this fitting?
I would like this for a bathroom with a high ceiling. I have found a supplier of chrome light rods. Might it be possible (perhaps with a bit of welding) to modify this light to take a longer rod? What is the diameter of the rod piece anyway?
Could you please tell me if the bathroom opal pendant is compatible with led lights? I am concerned about heat dissipation as led bulbs have heat sinks and beam angle, would they light the ceiling?
Is this item available in anything other than chrome?
