Ceiling Mounted Pull Cord Switch - Multiple Finishes

Does this light have an IP rating? A pull cord switch is needed for zone 2 in a bathroom, so need an IP44 or above.
This is rated as IP20 so would not be suitable for zone 2.

On one of your other listings you reference this product as being compatible with LED lights to work as a dimmer, is this the case?
This pull cord is an on/off switch and cannot dim fittings.

Can you please tell me (maybe have a bit of a pull if you have them in the showroom?) whether any of yours are quiet/silent. I know the dimable ones seem to have silent pulls to them but I`m not sure if this will work with a single ceiling rose given that most bulbs nowadays seem to be lcd or similar?
This pull cord gives the noise you would expect from a pull cord. The dimming pull cord is virtually silent but is only going to operate with a dimmable bulb. From personal experience We know Volex used to produce pull cords that were much quieter than others on the market. That said reviews of there latest offering seem to suggest it gives a loud click.

When you replace the ciling pull cord do you have to touch the electrics? We need ours changing as cord now dirty but we are no good with electric wires. Can you advise please.
Inside your existing bathroom pullcord you are likely to find two wires; the live and the switched live. It is not difficult to replicate the wiring in your new pullcord but if in doubt you should find an electrician who is happy to do the work for you.
