Hello, are these lights suitable for coastal areas?
Screws used on this is are stainless steel, but only grade 304, so you will get surface rust but no corrosion to speak of. This oxidisation can be reduced by wiping with a cloth and light machine oil. Ultimately if you have waves crashing outside your house you should look at something in 316L stainless, but that will eventually show discolouration too,

Does this aluminium ground spike have a titling head?
Yes the spotlight body rotates in a yoke-like bracket and two thumb screws allow it to be fixed in place.

Can the cable be extended as the power is further than 3m away?
Yes but you must use a waterproof connection.

Is this cable protected for squirrels munching through the cables?
No. You could protect the cable with stainless steel braided hose if this is likely to be a problem.

does this come with a 3 pin plug attached?
There is no 3pin plug attached to this.

Can led bulbs be used with this?
Yes, a GU10 LED lamp could be used in this fitting.

Is it possible to have different coloured lights on these mountings either by coloured bulb or filters?
This fitting takes a GU10 mains halogen lamp and we do stock coloured versions of this lamp. Please phone for details.

Can the spike be detatched from the lamp and the bracket be used to screw into a wall or the floor? Many Thanks
Yes, in fact the light is supplied without the spike pre-affixed. The spike is threaded and a hand tightened bolt is used to hold the bracket on the the light to the spike, and the hole in the bracket could also be used for the purpose you propose.

Are these lights simply wired into a three-pin plug for indoors use? I`m not an electrician, but I can rewire plugs.
Yes you can happily put a 3 pin plug on the end of this flex and use them inside.
