Description

When glare needs to be eliminated, this recessed fluorescents meet the challenge by giving indirect and architectural lighting combined with an aesthetic finish reminiscent of a wave. The effect is achieved through a double curve diffuser and opal sheet that covers the lamps, creating a warm and natural light which is ideal for office and retail environments.

The luminaire can simply be laid into a standard T suspended ceiling and locked in place or pulled up to fit flush in a plaster or suspended ceiling with the supplied brackets.

The luminaire is made of sheet steel and finished with anti-glare opaque white lacquer. High frequency electronic control gear is integral.

Designed for use with 2G11 base fluorescent lamps and can be installed and removed without the need for tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a client who is looking to install the fluorescent recessed ceiling luminaire, but they have particularly low ceilings and would ideally like them dimmable. It says on the spec not dimmable but I am just wondering why?
To clarify all 4 pin CFL lamps are dimmable but only when used with dimmable control gear (ballast) and a 1-10v, DALI or digital dimmer module. This is very different from a standard rotary phase-cut dimmer switch. These fixtures are supplied as standard with high frequency non dimmable control gear. It is of course possible for this to be changed to a dimmable ballast and install a matching dimmer module to provide a dimmable solution. However installing this equipment in an existing space can be a pain. You might want to consider a LED panel which would be very slim, dimmable via a variety of means and more cost effective. Can these be used in rooms with computers are being used?
Yes these fittings would be suitable for rooms where computers are used all day. In other words there use in an office with light coloured ceiling and walls would meet the design requirements of CIBSE Lighting Guide 3.
