Skygarden S1 by Flos - Timeless Elegance in a Pendant Light

The Skygarden S1, the smaller suspension pendant in the range at 600mm in diameter, was designed by Marcel Wanders for Flos and is winner of the Elle Decoration International Design Awards (EDIDA) 2008.  The designer said he wanted to recreate the beautiful antique plaster ceiling he had loved so much in a previous house but had to be left behind when moving to his new home, he designed the Skygarden as a beautiful reminder, and this is now available for everyone to admire.

Available in five colours (see enlarged photo for details) this is a stunning mix of traditional decoration and modern design complimenting each other perfectly. The inside of the shade is patterned to resemble a garden and has intricate flowers and petals. The lamp is hidden behind a diffuser with a further chrome patterned cover.

Five finishes are matt black, glossy black or glossy white, gold and rusty brown all interiors are white which will reflect the light.

The smooth and simple exterior reveals an intricately designed interior which is further highlighted when lit. This pendant is absolutely perfect for installing over the dinner table to appreciate the stunning decoration. Alternatively it would work well hung over a low coffee table as this will be something everyone will admire.
