Fresnel Lens Refracting Table Lamp

A great table lamp with a Lighthouse shade and chrome trumpet (fluted) base.

Fresnel lenses are named after the French physicist Augustin Jean Fresnel who in the 1800s invented a unique compound lens designed to produce parallel beams of light, a technology still used widely in lighthouses and every day in automotive light clusters. The stepped concentric circles either concentrate or disperse light and like a lighthouse, multiple images of a single light source are directed out.

The lighting effect creates a glittering oasis of light for inner calm... A really interesting and special light that will look great in a living room or bedroom.
