Coolicon Enamel Steel Lamp Shades - Earth Colours

This light is not a replica, an interpretation, or an outright copy. It is an original Coolicon registered design from the 1930s. Back in production in the UK and constructed in the original design from two pieces of steel, not aluminium, with a vitreous enamel coating, not spray painted or polyester painted. The outside is coloured and the inside is always white.

Is the construction important? Well this lamp shade was used throughout the UK in the harshest environments from the 30s through to the late 60s. If you could find an original you would be guaranteed that it won't have rotted away, that the enamel is still in place and it would still work.

In this listing we present the earth colours: Terracotta, Green, Latte and Blue.

They are offered in two sizes:

16" (400mm) diameter
