Voiles - Washi Japanese Paper Wall Light

Céline Wright is an influential French designer who is renowned for her hand-crafting methods. This beautiful wall light showcases her methods which use a combination of updated traditional techniques using environmentally friendly and natural materials. Inspired by boat sails, and as a sailer herself, the designer loves the beauty of setting sail, how they catch the breeze and the sounds and shapes they make.

A beautiful piece of architecture made of paper with a slightly chaotic rhythm, every angle you view the light from it seems different. The Washi paper this is made with is a very light yet robust material, traditionally Japanese lights were made from this paper. Pieces are laid over each other to make this interesting 'fabric' and, due to the ghost-like quality of the material, it appears ethereal ensuring this is a luminaire unlike no other. The frame is manufactured in steel and the hanging cord is black with touch dimmer. The two sides curl in on themselves to create a captivating shell-like design.

A designer pendant handcrafted which speaks of clarity, poetry and harmony.This wall light alone would transform an area but, if space allows, combining with the pendant will make a truly outstanding interior.

The cables on the light can be tightened and the hook can be installed at the desired height, allowing you to achieve the angle you prefer for the space. The in-line dimmer controls the brightness which has a 29.4 watt LED, 2090 lumen and 2700k. The LEDs cannot be seen from any angle.

The maximum protrusion of the light is 2041mm and the minimum 1150mm. The shades measure 663mm and have a width of 254mm. The span (which includes the shade and the wires which hold the fitting) is 807mm. The cord length is 2867mm but can be shortened to a minimum of 867mm. So please ensure you measure your space to check you can accommodate this wall light.

To clean this would simply require a light feather duster to gently remove dust.
