LED Under Cabinet Strip Light - Corner Profile in 3 Lengths

We have three 550mm strip lights in a series operated by a light switch, which don't come on any more. How do I tell which bulb has failed?
Of the issue is with the lights on this page they are not really operating in series, more linked. We would suggest ensuring the power supply is operating. Check for DC voltage coming out of the driver with a multimeter. That’s more than likely the issue.

Can you advise what the fixing method of the lamp is please or provide a data sheet?
These lights are supplied with two types of fixings; one allows the light to shine directly down, the other allows the lights to be fixed in the corner between the vertical wall and the underside of the cabinet to angle the light at 45°. These fixing are screwed to the wall or cabinet and the light fixture clips into place. Power in and power out sockets are located at the end.

what type of plug does the light have, is it 3 prong UK style or the 2 x prong variety?
This fitting does not come with a plug. The open wires can either be hardwired or put onto a plug.

Does this fitting require one mains plug per bar length you buy? So if I have five I need 5 mains sockets?
No, not really, one lead, one wall outlet (or fused spur). Each unit has a power in socket at one end and a power out plug at the other (see close-up image). Thereby if you need five all in a row the power lead would be plugged into one end and the power runs through lights. If you need a spacing between the LED strips i.e. to turn a corner you link between the units with the supplied 100mm link cable. If the break needed is longer buy a 500mm link cable.

Could these lights be used under a cupboard which is over a cooker?
Lighting over cookers require a certain amount of heat resistance and IP rating to protect from steam. Because this item only has an IP21 rating we wouldn`t recommend it for over cooker use.

If I join (say) 2 550mm units together what length is it now? i.e. how long are the joining connectors? So, I have 2 cabinet runs: 1.5M and 1.2M 2x550 + 330 and 2x550? Many thanks Hugh Milsom
These fitting have male & female connectors that push in to each other and when connected the lights sit flush. There is a 500mm linkable cable for corners etc if required.

Hi, could you inform me if there is a longer mains connection cable available to replace the 1000mm cable.
Unfortunately there is no longer cable available.

Are these warm white or available as warm white?
Sadly this product only comes in a cool white colour. We do offer a custom product in a single length - contact us or details.

Can these lights be used in a bathroom, where a lot of condensation and steam is generated?
These are only IP21 rated, thus suitable for use in bathroom zone 3. Ideally look for IP44 or above. The IP55 LED Strip is ideal for bathroom application.

Are these lights dimmable?
Unfortunately this fitting can not be dimmed.

I can`t see any figures for the wattage. As they are LEDs, I expect this to be low. Please tell me how much energy these strips consume.
They come in different wattage for different lengths of strip, I have placed the correct ones by each fitting in the description.

what is the finish on these units. I can see a frosted plastic cover over the light aera but what is the colour and material used at each end.
Again this is plastic, its thick white plastic at each end of the fitting.

80 lumens is very little as a source of light. So is this lamp more of a decoration rather than the main lamp to comprehensively illuminate the working surface?
Light fitted under kitchen cabinets are typically 500- 600mm from the working surface (in this case the worktop) so having a cabinet light with a higher light output is going to over light the working surface. Standard lights are fitted at 2400mm above floor level with a working plane at 750mm (desk height) the distance is 1650mm - three times greater! We`ll add some lux levels to this listing to make it easier for customers to understand.
