Guns Tall Table Light by Philippe Starck for Flos

Modern art or a symbolic gesture? However you consider this Gun light Philippe Starck has built a range of strong, controversial yet bizarrely functional table and floor lamps. This Guns Bedside light at 624mm high the larger of the two table lamps and the middle size in the range, ideal for living areas such as on a side table, dresser or as a small floor lamp.

The Table Gun, based on the ak47 symbolises the East. The body on lamp is die cast aluminium and comes with an 18K gold plated finish with a black shade. The base is emblazoned with the words “happiness is a hot gun”.  The shade is a matt plasticized diffuser with a silk screen and gold printing inside with the subtle S+arck signature cross decoration.

Most importantly Flos will donate twenty percent of the gross sales from the Guns Collection to the Freres des Hommes Europe Association, an organization that works the growth of local communities and their social structure in underdeveloped countries for the world.
