Wall washing is a great way to add interest to a room, the light can create real drama and interest to a room design. Each light gives a different effect whether wide, narrow or fan effect illumination. Some wall lights will also produce light from the front as well as above and below. Another form of lighting is wall grazing, slightly different to wall washing this lighting style is created by positioning lights closely to a wall, either from floor or ceiling, to force the beam of light to hit the wall at a narrow angle.
