Wall recessed lights are often used in brick and block walls to provide a low glare light source on stairways and walkways around a building. When using light at low level consideration should be given to get a broad and even distribution of light if there is no other additional lighting within an area.
Recessed wall lights are available in a variety of sizes and require close liaison with the tradesman to ensure a good fit. Many have a casing or housing that can be cast into concrete or mortar to make the installation easier and ensure the luminaire is not damaged during construction.

Brick lights are unobtrusive because they are installed directly into steps or between bricks, bringing emphasis to the light they produce while minimizing their own appearance.
