Coolicon Enamel Steel Lamp Shades - Pastel Colours
Historically Accurate Vitreous Enamel - White Inside
Product Ref: 30470From £120.00 inc VAT
This light is not a replica, an interpretation, or an outright copy. It is an original Coolicon registered design from the 1930s. Back in production in the UK and constructed in the original design from two pieces of steel, not aluminium, with a vitreous enamel coating, not spray or polyester painted. The outside is coloured and the inside is always white.
Is the construction important? Well, this lamp shade was used throughout the UK in the harshest environments from the 1930s through to the late 1960s. If you could find an original you would be guaranteed that it will not have rotted away, that the enamel is still in place and it would still work.
In this listing we present the pastel colours: Cream; Light Blue; Pink and Teal and offered in two sizes:
- Small 9" (230mm) diameter
- Large 16" (400mm) diameter
Below you also have a option to buy a period style pendant set. We have provided four examples of those we keep in stock. If you require a specific metal finish with a particular colour flex add the custom colour to you basket and we will contact you to confirm detail before processing your order.
The fitting can be used with any B22d (Bayonet Cap) mains lamp up to 100 watts. Compatible with our LED lamps featuring brilliant energy saving.

I can see the 9" shade has a depth of 150mm. Could you just clarify - is that from the top of the 'handle' to the base, or just the height of the bowl portion, from the base of the handle to the bottom of the shade?
What is the diameter of the hole that the landholder attaches to?
Will these work with an E27 lamp Holder?
What height are the 9" and 16" coolicon shades. Can both shades take up to 100w bulb?
