Modern Wall Light Brushed Steel - CFL

What is the 18w equivalent to in halogen watts please?
It gives about as much light as a 100w filament lamp.

We are interested in this Low Energy Wall light, it is for our staircase and we would be needing them to light the stairs. Is there any ceiling lights that matches with this for our landing area?
Sorry but there is no matching ceiling light for these wall lights.

Is it possible to separate the 2 lamps on 2 switches - i.e. have the uplighter on but the downlighter off (or vice versa) if needed?
There is no divide present between the upper and lower half of the fittings so light will be emitted in both directions regardless.

Can you advise what levels of luminance this light fitting will emit (lux levels). We are considering fitting a row of 7 within an entrance corridor area. Corridor is approx. 12 meters long.
These fittings take 2 x 26W compact fluorescent lamps which output 1700 lumens each. This gives you a light output of 3400 lumens per fitting which is roughly equivalent to 250W of incandescent light.

Could you confirm where the electrical outlet is on the fitting?
The cable entry point is in the centre of the backplate both vertically and horizontally.

Are these lights dimmable or do the have a seperate switch to turn on / off?
These luminaire uses 2 energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps with control gear that is not dimmable. It has no inbuilt/inline switch and so requires an alternate method switching.

I want to order this wall light but would like to know if it's dimmable?
This fitting uses compact fluorescent lamps running on non-dimmable control gear. Dimming control gear is available for compact fluorescent lamps but this will still not operate on standard domestic dimming controls. That said we are able to provide the smaller and medium size fitting with a linear tungsten halogen lamp - this will dim on any type of dimming system.
