Mod 548 Table Lamp by Flos

The Model 548 table lamp by Flos has certain features of great interest in the history of light design: the directionable projector that directs the light towards a reflecting screen, the supporting bar, the balance between different weights. However it is the large head that makes it stand out and the use of the opaline methacrylate gives a sophisticated light diffusion effect. The original design by Gino Sarfatti dates from 1951 and the reinvention by Flos now has a LED source and optical switch with dimmer.

A great feature table perfect for many rooms within the home just so long as its seen by everyone as this should definitely not be kept in a corner.

The lamp emits reflected and diffused light with an adjustable spotlight in white painted aluminium, mounted on a tubular stem in polished or burnished brass. Cup-shaped diffuser in white and blue or orange methacrylate. The brass bar at the base acts as a counterweight.
