Goldman the 21st Century Bankers Lamp by Flos

This table lamp from Flos, named Goldman, is a great modern and contemporary bankers lamp that would grace any desk. A few words from the Israeli artist and designer Ron Gilad: `Banker’s lamps are one of the earliest kinds of electric lamps. They were made as early as the 1800s. Typically produced of a solid brass base and a green glass shade and functioned as an accent or task lighting. Originally they were used by those who worked long hours, looking at small numbers. They needed extra light on their desk to make their job a little easier. “Goldman”, named after an investment banking firm, designed as a step in the evolution of this traditional lamp, Injected with high technology and slick lines.`

The lamp provides direct white light and indirect light via the coloured diffuser. The LED lamp inside has a white opal diffuser to give a soft even light.

Dimmable by a unique optical switch on base with 'Soft Touch' technology.

A USB socket on the back of the base enables you to plug in devices (5v @ 1.5A).

The low voltage plug-top power supply comes with adaptors to suit both UK 3-pin and European wall sockets. The power cord is 2.5 metres long.
