Gibigiana Table Lamp designed for Flos

An interesting table lamp with a reflector at the top which will give a varied distribution of light depending on how it is set. 

This was created in 1980 by Achille Castiglioni and its name originates from the popular Lombard word for the children’s game of reflecting the sun’s light in the desired direction using a mirror.  Inspired by this idea, Castiglioni used a mirrored reflector to create an unusual lighting system that provides concentrated, directional light, ideal for activities requiring visual concentration in dimly lit or unlit settings, without disturbing other people in the room. A style icon that will blend effortlessly into any room setting and will stand the test of time.
