How much does this item weigh, please? Will it be too heavy for a standard ceiling light fitting?
When most houses are built the installing electricians often locate the ceiling rose right next to a timber joist. This often means that when owners replace the plastic ceiling rose they have the opportunity to get at least one screw into the timber joist. However if you want to hang a particularly heavy fixture where the is insufficient support we suggest the use of a spring toggle fixing. These are also suitable for older homes that have a lathe and plaster ceilings. That said this fixture only weighs 5.4 kilos so should not present any problems.
