Heritage Lamps - ST64, Edison Style, Vintage Filament and Tube

Heritage bulbs have become more and more popular and sought out by those who like a little flair in their light fixtures. Their aged styling often features on a bare flex, but also looks great in open luminaires. They provide illumination and interest but you can change the look of the light so easily.

Tubular and ST64 shapes often feature a filament that is stretched out like earlier filament bulbs from the 20th century, those with multiple turns were often called squirrel cage bulbs because a squirrel would not be able to get in or out of the matrix. Thankfully now many of the filaments used in these lights use LED technology giving extremely long lamp life and low running costs.

With the LED reinvention, squirrel cage bulbs are making a comeback, and are increasing in popularity in homes and commercial spaces. They still use the classic century-old design and their warm filaments provide an ultra-soft light effect.

With the many decorative LED lamps, they are not only nice to look at but also energy efficient. Decorative lamps are great for bare lamp pendants or fittings where the lamps are seen and not hidden behind a shade. Whilst these lamps may seem to be expensive, after all, you are just paying for the bulb, they create such a good look for a bare flex or simple wall light, and they have a really long lamp life and will last for thousands of hours.

The globe lamp section may also be of interest as there are many larger lamps listed, still decorative but larger in style.
