- 400 watts Resistive loads (mains voltage incandescent lamps and halogen lamps)
400 watts (va) Capacitive loads (electronic dimmable LV transformers) which state 'suitable for leading edge dimmers' - 400 watts (va) Inductive loads (wound or laminated LV transformers)
If any of our customers have problems with dimming their lighting we always suggest they use Richmond dimmer modules.
Minimum loading is 60w on the above.D o not use mains lamps without internal fusing a short circuited in an unfused lamp may damage your transformer.
This dimmer can be used with dimmable CFL lamps subject to meeting the 12w minimum load and 66w maximum load on the circuit.

At the moment the light switch I wish to replace is a double switch on a single knock out galvanised patress box. On one side it controls the under-unit lighting which are small neon strips (non dimmable) but economical to run. This requires a simple on / off switch. The second switch controls the R 80s that I want to replace and make dimmable. Is there a switch unit that combines one dimmer switch with one simple on / off or will I have to break the connections out to two separate boxes and switches? |
