Modern LED Box Shelves - Strong Aluminium Frame Envelops Floating Glass, Casting a Stylish Glow in Your Space

I have 2 of these that are only a couple of years old. Both have stopped working. How do I replace the lights please because it looks like a complete unit.
I'm afraid the lights are not replaceable and the manufacturer doesn't sell spare parts.

I have two of these in my kitchen but they have stopped working. They were here when I bought this property. I don’t think they could have exhausted the estimated total number of hours of lighting provided. Could you suggest what might be the issue? I have read it might be the driver. What is that and is it replaceable? Thank you.
The top glass on the shelf is removable, just left it up. Inside you will find either LED tape and a driver for a fluorescent tube and control gear. All of these are serviceable items and suitable replacements are available. But first check the incoming mains supply.

Do you have product in 120 cm length , 30 cm depth, and 5 cm thickness?
Sadly no, we did have a longer 120cmm shelf but the length of these meant most arrived damaged.

Do they need a transformer as well
No, everything is built in you just require a mains supply.

Can you please let me know how to change the bulb?
This fitting includes an integrated light that you are unable to change.

what type of lamps are installed within the shelf and are they replaceable if they need to be changed?
These Shelves include an integral LED Strip and cannot be replaced when they fail. On average LED's should last roughly around 30,000 hours.

Want to store models on top of shelves can you advise if the top glass gets hot from the bulbs?
These shelves contain LED strips (which illluminate the box) and are low energy, low heat and therefore would not get hot and damage any items placed/stored on top.

How are they fixed to the wall and how does one change the light tubes?
It's fixed to the wall using screws that come with the fitting. It has an LED strip so no lamps which need to be replaced - please read the full description which has all the details.

Are the bulbs replaceable if they stop working?
The LEDs are in a tape form, this could be replaced if needed. What is likely to fail first is the driver and these are also available.

What is the maximum weight this can withstand?
5kg.

Could you please advise on the hanging mechanism for this product. Does it have hidden brackets?
The brackets are not visible, allowing the shelf to fit flush to the wall.

Does this come with a plug to put in a socket?
It does not - but you could wire one up if you wanted to.

Do you plug these shelves in or do they need an electrician to install?
These shelves need to be wired in.

How do I remove the glass to replace the lamp?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and therefore cannot be replaced.

What is that I can see on the glass at the bottom?
That is the switch that allows you to turn the light source on and off.

Is the glass clear or frosted? Currently we have wall lights so have a connecting block wired to a light switch, I am guessing we can use this for power? If so the power blocks are central in the alcove, so will be in the middle of the shelf, will the cable in the light reach from the right hand side as mentioned to the centre point to link to our existing connection? Finally, are you currently doing deliveries?
A cable entry is provided on the rear towards the right. If this doesn’t suit you needs you can easily drill a hole through the housing to suit existing wiring coming from you wall. You can extend your house wiring inside the fixture to connect to the shelf LED power supply. The glass is opaque - gives an even, soft light without being able to see inside. Yes we are making deliveries via courier.

What is the maximum load capacity for each shelf.
The maximum weight load is 5 kilos.

CAN THE SHLVES BE FITTED EASILY END TO END TO MAKE A LONGER SHELF?
The shelves can be installed next to each other, This would create a longer shelf, each shelf would require its own mains power however.

How long is the power lead that comes with the shelf and can it be plugged into a socket instead of being wired into the mains.
There is no cable supplied with the shelf. You could add a trailing lead with a plug if you wish to use a socket.

Could you tell me what you consider a reasonable height to install this over a gas hob. Thankyou
We would suggest a height of at least 60cm but you may not be a fan of the greasy dust and soot that would stick to the shelf.

Can this light shelf be used above a gas hob?
This is made of aluminium and glass and so there is no reason as to why this cannot be installed above a gas hob within a reasonable distance.

At which end of the shelf does the feed exit or enter the shelf
When looking at the shelf in the pictures, The Feed is located on the right.

What is the max load bearing capacity of the shelf and can it be mounted on a hollow plasterboard wall?
The maximum bearing load is 5kg. You can mount it on to a hallow plasterboard wall, we would recommend using spring toggles.

What colour is the light box. Is it plain aluminium
The finish on the shelf is a brushed Aluminium.

Can I feed the electric supply on through the top of the shelf, i.e. I have a mains feed but it is not exiting the wall where I want the position the shelf. Thank you
The only way you can get the supply to the shelf is through the back of it. Going through the top will effect how the shelf fits to the wall.

Do these shelves need to be fitted by an electrician because they are mains powered?
These are mains powered, If unsure on how to install we would recommend using a qualified Electrician.

Is the light dimmable?
The LEDs and built in driver on this shelf is non dimmable.

Do you supply replacement top glass panel?
Unfortunately we do not supply replacement glass as the shelf comes as a complete unit.

How do you remove the strip bulb from the light box?
These fittings come with integral LED lamps. The LED lamp is non replaceable, but with a 25,000 hour lamp life, it will last and should not need to be changed.

Are these LED box shelves mains-powered or do they need a transformer?
These are mains powered and the driver is built in.

Is this shelf suitable above a kitchen sink and what would be the advisable minimum distance between the sink and the base of the shelf be?
This shelf is rated IP21 so must be at least 60cm from any water source, i.e. the sink taps.

Does this shelf come in a 1200mm length?
This LED box shelf only comes in 3 sizes. With the longest being 900mm.

Could you tell me what colour the switch is and if it is located on the underside of the shelf?
The switch is a grey colour, and is hidden underneath the shelf on the right hand side.

Are these shelves suitable for bathroom?
These shelves can only be used in a bathroom outside of zones 0,1 & 2. These areas are shown in our bathroom section here
