This is an accessory that may save you time and money... Have you ever had a situation where the existing lighting in your space is in the wrong place? House builders are convinced they know best when installing light points but often their ideas do not always match your own.

Moving the housing wiring can be troublesome and expensive and leaves many thinking they have to move the furniture to match the light positions. We have a solution and it is a solution that is quick and easy.

The existing wiring ceiling rose does not have to be moved. Re-route the flex through this accessory and then fix in desired place, i.e. over a table.

You can also use this fixing to secure cable to a wall if you have a light for example with a trailing lead and plug - simply fix the accessory to the wall and the cable stays tidy and in place.

The maximum diameter for the flex to fit is 7mm.

No fixing screws are supplied - choose an appropriate fixing for the weight and location of your installation.

Your electrical flex would be damaged before this accessory failed. 3Kg seems a sensible point at which you should start reinforcing the flex.

What is the fixing like for this? Can I fit a 600 mm louis Paulson Patera pendant light which weighs 7.3 kg.
Your flex would be damaged before this fixture would fail. Assuming you use a decent screw fixing into something substantial.

I would advise the bronze to be the darkest unpainted version.

I am looking to temporarily raise the pendants over my dining table, because we sometimes move the table out of the way to host parties and wouldn’t want people to bang their heads into the low pendants. Would the accessory achieve this?

No, that would not work. These are designed to be screwed in.

There's no set weight - however, we would advise around 3kg, but it is very secure.

This accessory is metal, if screwed into a ceiling (or joist) with a good fixing it is not going anywhere. The limit is going to be the strength of your electrical flex.

How do I fix the offset pendant accessory to a ceiling made of plasterboard?
We recommend screwing it into a joist for added support.

Does this support (take the strain) off the ceiling rose. I have a large metal pedant light.
Yes. However, we would recommend making sure your fixing is secure (ideally into a joist or block of wood)

Do you have a photo of it undone so I can see how to fix it?
This is a two-piece construction. Unscrew then front knurled part, insert screw to base and screw into ceiling, run the flex through the aperture and screw on the cap.

Does this come with screws and plugs for mounting? Does it also have a min/max cable size requirement?
This does not come with screws. There is no minimum for size, but the maximum is 8mm.

Hi - I was looking at buying one of your large Jogg chandelier's and think this might solve me needing to re-wire from the existing ceiling rose. Wondered if this effectively held the weight of the chandelier though and if so whether it would be strong enough to hold a larger light such as the jogg? Thanks
The Jogg is large and could be called voluminous but like my brother He Ain't Heavy. So as long as your fixing is secure (ideally into a joist) you won't have any problems supporting the weight of the Jogg from this accessory. That said the largest Jogg pendants use two length of flex so you might need two!
