Is this light open topped, I am looking for art deco lights that are sealed to go in a stairwell (I hate looking down at the bulbs!)
The top of this fitting is open (as are many to get the most light out of the fitting). Why not look in a bathroom wall light section you may find wall lights with covered tops in there?

Is it possible to buy the glass shade only for this light (last time I ask my husband to do the dusting!!!)
Yes we sell the glass only for this fitting. Call us to arrange your order and it will be with you in a few days - but you can grumble to your hubby for quite a bit longer!

Is this dimmable?
Yes it will dim without issue on any type of dmmer.

Can I use this fitting in the bathroom?
Pretty much any light fixtures can be used in un-zoned areas (previously called zone 3) of the bathroom. Zones 0,1 & 2 however require a degree of protection from splashed water - see our bathroom section for more details of zones in bathroom and wetrooms.

That said even in un-zoned areas you should be concious that high humidity and condensation present in bathrooms without good ventilation may damage the finish or cause corrosion.
