Can a pir sensor be fitted to this lamp?
There is no option to have this light fitting with an built in PIR. However you can use a remote PIR sensor with this lamp. You'll find them here... http://www.lightingstyles.co.uk/Exterior-garden-lighting/PIR-detection-sensor-lights/

Is it possible to buy the traditional barn lamp with opaque glass to reduce the glare from the bulb?
The fitting can only be supplied with clear glass. You could get this sandblasted but a better option would be to use one of our long life decorative lamps. These have a longer filament and burn at a lower temperature so are easier on the eye.
