Is this lamp strong enough to read with, in a dark bedroom?

Can it be wall mounted?
Even in a room no natural light and no other light fitting this would be an idea reading light.
The fitting is designed to be wall mounted.

I have just received my order for this light but I did not order bulbs. I can't identify the correct bulbs for this lamp on your site. please help!
Thank you for your enquiry. The part number you require is L-R0U400SES 40W OPAL SES-E14 - 45mm ROUND and they come in a pack of ten. Alternatively you can purchase them individually from your local hardware store.

Can I put this light on a plug? Is one supplied?
There is no reason why you could not wire a plug on to this fitting however one is not supplied.

What is an "on/off rocker switch" on a wall light?
This is just like any normal switch.

Where is the On/Off switch located? I can't spot it on your illustration.
The small rocker switch is located at the bottom left hand side of the fitting( when looking at the picture front on).

Its under the backing plate which is why it can't be seen on our illustration.

Could this light be wired into another switch as I want to install it to a double light switch that turns of the main light in the room and this light?
This wall light can be put onto any type of switched or unswitched circuit. The local rocker switch just provides the benefit of switching off at the lamp.

Does this lamp have to be plugged in to an electric socket? Or is it battery operated?

Lighting Styles don't offer any battery operated light fittings. This would need to be wired into your mains.
